Cecilia León de la Barra

Cecilia León de la Barra (Mexico City, 1975) studied Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana. She works on independent projects related to furniture, interiors, and design consulting, collaborating with designers and architects. She was a co-founder and member of MOB (a collective store for design, interiors, and furniture) from 2001 to 2005, as well as a member of the NEL collective, of which she has been a member since 2004. She was part of the editorial board of the Arquine magazine and has contributed to Celeste, Gatopardo, and Código magazines. She has been teaching at the Universidad Iberoamericana and Centro. Diseño, Cine y Comunicación since 2005.

Her work has been exhibited in Mexico, Milan, Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Washington, London, and New York, and has been published in national and international books and magazines.
